Due to financial insecurities, EWA owner K.C. Kash has decided to make the tough decision. In a meeting with another promoter who's name was not given, Kash sold his rights to the EWA name. As of this moment, EWA has been dissolved, but from the ashes rises a new power in the wrestling world! Global Championship Wrestling, or GCW, will pick up right where EWA left off! The GCW officials have decided that forcing the already established Champions and Contenders of the EWA to start over would be poor business, so Contenders will remain in place, and the Champions will take their spots as the new GCW Champions in a ceremony on the first episode of GCW Ground War! This will see EWA World Champion Justin Marsham taking up the GCW Global Championship, Gladiator Champion Xavier Reid becoming the GCW North American Champion, Outlaw Champion Weezle becoming GCW Rising Star Champion, and The Southern Express being crowned GCW Tag-Team
