| Cleveland, Ohio. According to non-Ohioans, the only city in a state of over 10 million people. Home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also home to some of the greatest franchises in sports, like the Cleveland Indians...and that's it. Speaking of The Tribe, this is where our opus begins. We are outside Jacobs Field (it will never be Progressive Field!) after a close game between the Indians and dreaded rivals the Detroit Tigers. The game was so intense it could only be described as if the game was played on the fields of Gettysburg...screw it, it's my story and the Indians beat the living shit out of the Tigers! Anyways, time to get back on track. Among the well over 20,000 fans at the game, we finally see two of the main players of our epic story, Dennis Clayton and his second, Rebecca Garrison. He is wearing his prized Travis Hafner jersey and cargo shorts with a Indians cap backwards on his head. Meanwhile Rebecca is wearing a more form fitting Grady Sizemore jersey (like the ones made for females), jean shorts, and an Indians visor. They thread their way through the crowd as if guided by a laser-guided sewing needle, not stopping or acknowledging anyone, even those that recognize them. They just continue to converse with themselves as if they are the only people in the city.
Dennis: "Damn, that was a good game, am I right?"
Rebecca: "Agreed. Glad they picked it up this year. But the thing that bothers me every year, is they can make real good players, but then they get rid of them so they dont have to pay them the money they deserve."
Dennis nodded his head in agreement.
Dennis: "I agree completely. I have this feeling sometime soon, Grady Sizemore will be in a different jersey here soon."
Rebecca punched him in the arm.
Rebecca: "Don't say that, asshole. I just bought this jersey."
Dennis: "I'm just sayin'. Look what happened when I got that Jim Thome jersey for my birthday when I was a kid. Within a year or two he got traded. Pissed me off, he was my favorite player at the time."
Rebecca: "Either way, don't jinx Grady. I like him...plus I think he is kinda cute."
Dennis just looks at her and rolls his eyes and sighs disapprovingly.
Rebecca: "What was that for?"
Dennis: "I thought you were better than that. Now I know that you are just a typical female sports fan."
Rebecca: "What is that supposed to mean?"
Dennis: "You remind me of my sister. She is a Yankees fan, and her favorite player is Derek Jeter. Most women who have a favorite team usually pick who they think looks best in their uniform."
Rebecca shoots him a death glare after that remark.
Rebecca: "I resent that remark, jerk. Sure he has a nice ass, but he can hit and field with the best of them. I would be pissed off if they ever traded him. Catch my drift?"
Dennis puts his hands in front of him in defense of the barbs being thrown that way.
Dennis: "Woah, easy there, tiger. I take that back. Now, before you get too excited and worked up, we are here."
She looks up and sees the sign for "The Boneyard", famed Cleveland microbrewery a short jaunt from Jacobs Field. They walk in and instantly are in the middle of the post game crowd. Dennis and Rebecca fight their way up to the bar and catch the attention of one of the bartenders.
Dennis: "Let me get a Bud Light draft and a..."
Rebecca: "Let me get the same."
The bartender goes to pour the drinks as Rebecca turns around towards the crowd, as if she is scanning for someone. She turns back as the bartender comes back with the beers.
Dennis: "Keep a tab open."
"Immortal" by Adema starts playing from Dennis's cell phone, he sees who it is as a slight grin creeps across his face.
Dennis: "Right on cue...yeah...we just got in...yeah, we are downstairs...ok...be up there in a sec."
Dennis hangs up the phone and grabs his beer.
Dennis: "They are already here. They are upstairs."
The two of them make their way through the celebrating crowd and come to a staircase and begin to climb. As they get to the top of the climb, they come upon a semi-private lounge type area. The are some couches and overstuffed chairs placed around the area with some tables interspersed throughout. They scan the area befor the find who they are looking for in a back corner, none other than "Mountain Man" Josh Newsome and an attractive female right by his side . Josh is wearing a sleeveless blue flannel over a black wifebeater, old blue jeans, and scuffed and dirty work boots. And his female companion is wearing a light summer dress, a straw cowboy hat, and brown cowboy boots. The two of them stand up to greet Dennis and Rebecca.
Newsome: "Guys, this is my cousin, Mary Jane. She is gonna be in my corner, just like Rebecca is for Dennis."
Mary Jane: "Pleasure to meet you two."
Dennis: "Same here."
Rebecca: "How you doin'."
The four of them sit down around one of the tables. Dennis and Rebecca with their beers, Josh and Mary Jane with their Jack Daniels.
Newsome: "So, what do you guys think of this place?"
Rebecca: "I like it. I never was a fan of the nightclub scene, anyway."
Newsome: "When you said you guys were going to be at the Indians game, it made sense to me."
Dennis: "Yeah, this place is pretty cool."
Josh takes a drink from his whiskey glass and sets it on the table before sitting back on the couch.
Newsome: "I hate to cut the small talk short, but we have a gameplan to discuss."
Dennis nods his head in agreement.
Dennis: "Agreed. We got us some tag titles to win. I plan on coming out of that match as the first ever EWA tag champs. Ain't nothing but a thing. It will get violent. I have some scores to settle with a little jumping bean. He is lucky he doesn't get what he gave to me."
Dennis rubs the scar on his knee where he had surgery on his meniscus.
Dennis: "He is lucky all I tore was my meniscus. I should of had a plate put into my knee so I could give him what he deserves."
Rebecca: "And too bad his little floozy bit the big one and I didn't get another chance to break her in half. At least he has another whore. I can pretend it is the last one when I beat her bloody."
Rebecca and Mary Jane smile at each other and high five.
Mary Jane: "I love this girl. I have a feeling that I will fit in just fine among you guys."
Rebecca looks at her and just shrugs and gives her a sly grin.
Rebecca: "Well, I aim to please."
Newsome: "I see they have broken the ice easier than I expected."
Dennis: "Makes our job that much easier. Just remember whatever we do, I get final hit on Jun Yao. I have a punt kick with his name written all over it. I will kick his eyes straight."
Newsome: "Fine by me, I have no problem with that roid monkey. I'll show him that roid rage ain't go nothing on redneck fury."
Mary Jane raises her hand as if she is in a classroom.
Mary Jane: "Uh...guys? Isn't there a third team in this match?"
Dennis and Josh just look at each other and break into fits of laughter.
Newsome: "You mean The Whackers? Those dudes don't scare me one bit."
Mary Jane: "But isn't one of them a female?"
Rebecca: "If you are man enough to get into the ring, you are man enought to get your ass beat."
Dennis nods his head in agreement.
Dennis: "My mom raised me never to raise my hand to a woman, but you get in that ring to fight me, I will wreck your shit."
The four of them clink their glasses together as the camera fades out and fades back in on an interview area set up at the Colosseum. We see Jess Star standing in front of the camera with a smile on her face.
Jess Star: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to an exclusive interview on EWA.com. I am here with 2 men set to be a part of the match at our first Suoershow to crown our first EWA tag team champions. Dennis Clayton and "Mountain Man" Josh Newsome, the Sons of Ohio.
Dennis and Josh come from off camera in their wrestling gear. Dennis in scarlet gear with grey trim and Josh in the complete opposite color scheme.
Jess: "Dennis, this is your first match back from surgery. How are you feeling?"
Dennis: "How do you think I feel? I was sidelined with a knee injury due to one of the people I happen to be facing in this match. The question should be, how will he feel after the match."
Jess: "How does Jun's tag partner change any gameplan going into this match?"
Dennis: "It doesn't at all. He is just another one to fall. And by the time I get finished with them, they will wish they were in Hell with the skank of a woman Jun used to fuck."
Jess is taken aback by Dennis's comments, but undeterred, turns to Newsome.
Jess: "Josh, what is your opinion on the other team in this match, The Wreckers?"
Newsome: "Who?"
Jess: "The Wre..."
Newsome: "I know what you said. The guys think they can come into my house and try to make a name for themselves at our expenses? Ain't happening. I have been all over the world doing this and Dennis has been all over the world fighting. We know what we are doing and we know what we are capable of. They don't. We are going to do to them what the muscle bound dumbass does to his dick every night. Beat the shit of them."
The two of them leave before Jess has a chance to respond.
Jess: " Well...this looks to be an explosive match. We don't know what will happen. Stay tuned for anything else before the supershow."
