Ok you knew I was going to be breaking this sucker out eventually so here it is! I'm on my way to see MARVEL comics' latest movie instalment, Thor. Obviously, this is about the mighty Norse God of Thunder sent to Earth and stripped of his powers by his Father, the All-Father, Odin, and the battles he goes through before and after regaining what is rightfully his.

I'm very excited about this because Thor is one of those concepts you knew people loved but never expected to get a movie, and with Captain America on the way, the Avengers movie is just about rounding the corner.

What's your thoughts on the subject? I want to hear from you, the people, not just about Thor but about your favorite Comic movies in general, hell even critique them. Post some responses below, and soon I'll place my review for Thor without spoiling anything (at least not too major) in this section.

Thank you, True Believers, and as always, EXCELSIOR!

..........Just kidding.

Your Hero,

Jace Champion

Really Stan? er i mean Shane?

I have seen some of the trailers and Thor may be alright as those movies go. Green Lantern is coming out soon, with i beleive a Wonder Woman coming later this year. I dont know about the next X-men origin film, i havent seen anything about that. The one that will suck ass will be the Captain America one. I just dont see it being any good. About like the ten different verisions of the Hulk that came out.

Thor......was fucking amazing. It was seriously the best MARVEL movie they've dropped so far, with the exception of maybe the original Spider-Man (of the latest trilogy). They way they brought him in as a character was perfect considering his fantastic origin. The battle sequences were great, something I was concerned for but they pulled it out great. The only issue I take up with the film is the rushed finale and romance, as well as the love interests' annoying female friend. The romance is essentially *Explosion* "I'M THOR!" "FUCK ME!"

All in all, I give this film a 9.75 out of 10 (my second highest rating) and recommend you all to see it.

I wholeheartedly agree about the romance part. It was too fast, unnecessary, and not believable. Does he really need a love interest to be selfless? I didn't feel the ending was rushed, though. I didn't really expect to see Thor so soon but that's how it happened and it was good.

What amazed me though, is that by the time we got halfway through the movie I knew several things that almost had to happen, but by the time it happened I was psyched to see how it would go down. Predictability usually kills a film for me, but its kind of like the last Star Wars movie. We knew Anakin would become Vader, it was just the how of it. Even as I ticked off the things I knew were coming at the end of Thor, the spectacle drew me in and kept my attention.

And, honestly, they needed something like the Destroyer in one of the Hulk films. No 'another Hulk', no Absorbing/Molecule man whatever, they needed something like that! 'Nuff said!

So yes, if you liked Spider Man or Iron Man, you'll probably really like Thor. If they can make Captain America this good, it will be one hell of a hat trick for Marvel. DC really has to get off its ass if they want to compete. Then again, DC has been running all over Marvel in animation for years so maybe it all evens out.

Well Hulk doesn't really have an enemy like the Detroyer Armor until Tony Stark debuts his "Hulk Buster" ironman suit. Granted The Abomination and Absorbing man were decent villains that were a bit overplayed (more on the part of Absorbing Man) and were just not that interesting in context. They even could've brought in General Ross as Red Hulk and just screwed everything up, so to speak.

I'm quite excited about Captain America, but they would have to play it right. See I've come to realize that MARVEL movies can't just be good Superhero movies, they have to be good movies of the genre their heroes represent.Iron Man (1 and 2) were good superhero movies because that's just what he is, but look at Thor. You know you were watching a superhero, but it was a good fantasy movie.

Captain America should be a combination Hero/War movie and I can't wait to see how they pull it off. Red Skull confirmed as villain, the cosmic cube to appear and perhaps even in the Avengers, the Infinity Gauntlet is also being tossed around (and if you're a MARVEL fan, you know that's like nuke aimed at life itself) and I can't be happier. My only concern is that once the Avengers is finished and the final edition of the new Batman trilogy is done (Which I will review also), the phase of heroes will be over in the public eye. The world needs heroes.

By the way, stay after ALL THE CREDITS when you watch Thor for a glimpse into the Avengers movie and a nice final scene to tie everything together. You have to stay.
