I wholeheartedly agree about the romance part. It was too fast, unnecessary, and not believable. Does he really need a love interest to be selfless? I didn't feel the ending was rushed, though. I didn't really expect to see Thor so soon but that's how it happened and it was good. What amazed me though, is that by the time we got halfway through the movie I knew several things that almost had to happen, but by the time it happened I was psyched to see how it would go down. Predictability usually kills a film for me, but its kind of like the last Star Wars movie. We knew Anakin would become Vader, it was just the how of it. Even as I ticked off the things I knew were coming at the end of Thor, the spectacle drew me in and kept my attention.
And, honestly, they needed something like the Destroyer in one of the Hulk films. No 'another Hulk', no Absorbing/Molecule man whatever, they needed something like that! 'Nuff said!
So yes, if you liked Spider Man or Iron Man, you'll probably really like Thor. If they can make Captain America this good, it will be one hell of a hat trick for Marvel. DC really has to get off its ass if they want to compete. Then again, DC has been running all over Marvel in animation for years so maybe it all evens out.
